results. BBPL recognizes that each client's needs and practices are unique and has
developed a variety of customizations to assure that every client experiences optimal
communication of laboratory data possible.
Laboratory Orders
BBPL LabLink Online Orders
With Internet access from any PC, BBPL LabLink provides a simple and convenient means to:
- Capture patient demographic and billing information
- Select tests
- Validate Medicare medical necessity requirements
- Generate test requisitions
Clients and their staff must register with BBPL for access to all LabLink functions to
maintain the confidentiality and security of the system. Learn more about our

Electronic Interface Orders
Qualified clients with EMRs, Laboratory Information Systems, or Hospital Information
Systems may communicate test orders directly from their system(s) to BBPL via secure Internet
(VPN) connections. BBPL provides advanced Interface Engine technology as well as proprietary
customization and testing tools to simplify configuration and validation of these interfaces.
Paper Requisitions
For clients without the infrastructure or desire to utilize electronic means, BBPL offers
traditional multi-part pre-printed paper requisitions that are customizable to include tests
frequently ordered by individual clients.

BBPL LabLink Online Reports
BBPL LabLink offers healthcare providers simple and convenient access to laboratory results
from anywhere in the world with Internet access including many cell phones and PDAs.
Results viewing options available via BBPL LabLink include:
- Quick preview pane
- HTML view
- Printable PDFs (requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader)
- Cumulative results
- Automatic scheduled print of new reports via proprietary DocLink
As with LabLink orders, clients and their staff must register with BBPL for access to all
LabLink functions to maintain the confidentiality and security of the system.

In many cases, interfaces can be simplified by combining demographics downloads from the
client systems to BBPL LabLink with interfaced results from BBPL back to the clients EMR.
This streamlines the creation of LabLink orders and eliminates the complexity of orders
interfaces, while maintaining the full functionality of results flowing back to the clients
system.
Dial-up Printers
For clients without Internet access or the desire to use electronic methods, BBPL offers
traditional dial-up printers and multi-part paper for test reporting.
